AirAsia X Berhad is the low-cost, long-haul affiliate carrier of the AirAsia Group that currently flies to destinations in China, Australia, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Nepal and Jeddah. We currently fly to 14 destinations across Asia (Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, Taipei, Beijing, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Shanghai and Kathmandu), Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Gold Coast) and the Middle East (Jeddah). We currently operate a fleet of 10 Airbus A330-300 aircraft for scheduled services, each with a seat configuration of 12 Premium Flatbeds and 365 Economy seats.

MBMR was incorporated as an investment holding company in 1994 and was successfully listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (now known as Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad) on 9 February 1995. Building on its exclusive distributorship of Daihatsu motor vehicles which it secured in 1980, MBMR has grown over the years through acquisitions.

MBMR also expanded into automotive parts manufacturing with the acquisition of wheel manufacturer, Oriental Metal Industries (M) Sdn Bhd and safety and NVH products manufacturer, Hirotako Holdings Berhad.
